About Us

Domestic Pet Care, LLC, is a locally owned business that operates out of a 4-acre horse farmette. We take great pride in providing a safe, stress-free environment for dogs in our care. We understand the stress dogs endure when they are separated from their owners, so particular care is taken to help your pet stay calm, comfortable and relaxed. We offer an alternative to boarding kennels, and veterinary clinics that board dogs, in that your dog will not be left alone overnight.

Our overnight, cage-free dog care facility accommodates  4 dogs. The small number of dogs allows us to ensure residents receive individualized care based on their needs and personalities. We pay particular attention to the needs of our senior canines as well as any dog that does not do well in a noisy kennel environment. Our intention is to stay very small and accommodating and build relationships with clients and their pets.

Our sleeping facility is climate controlled and includes music for dogs that has been clinically proven to ease stress and anxiety.  The premises is protected by a stand-by generator in case of power outages.    Accommodations also include an air filtration system to create a healthy, clean-air environment. During the daytime when dogs are inside (usually due to inclement weather or personal choice), they can watch television playing dog movies or cartoons. Owners may leave comfort items such as toys or blankets to stay in your dog’s bedroom; however, please be aware that items that become soiled will be bagged and returned to your unlaundered.

Domestic Pet Care’s exercise yard is fitted with artificial turf and includes a section of wood chips for those discriminating pooches that must have organic material to eliminate. The exercise yard will also offer a “puppy” pool for hot days in the summer. Dogs will not be left outside in extreme heat or extreme cold. In addition, dogs will have the opportunity for group play if properly socialized and with owner’s consent. Size and temperament will be considered for group play, and an experienced attendant will supervise all group play.
